Established in 1999, Wise Thoughts works with LGBTQI+ and BAME artists, filmmakers, and practitioners to organise cross-arts events, such as GFEST – Gaywise FESTival, which is an annual LGBTQI+ cross-art festival.

We work locally (in Haringey and North London), regionally (London and the South East), nationally, and internationally, depending upon the nature of each creative project.

Wise Thought’s Creative Cultural Hub (CCH) in Wood Green provides an ideal space to bring our creative visions to life, and to help serve the needs of both our targeted and local communities.

Wise Thoughts is dedicated to producing and showcasing exciting multi-media arts projects and films.

We have presented a number of arts initiatives including : sHIVer (a multi-media performance project about South Asian Women and HIV), Flames (a multi-media project on sexual health of young BAME people in Hertfordshire), Un-tender Touch (exploring issues of domestic violence via the medium of dance), Sound of a Spell (a dance work presenting positive contributions of Islam), BollyQueens (a visual arts exhibition exploring South Asian drag identities), Against All Odds (South Asian dance performance by people with different abilities), Marg  – a Pathway (visual arts and performance project presenting some gender fluid identities from Indian epic Mahabharata) etc.,The majority of our arts initiatives have been multimedia, visual arts, dance and performance projects. We have also produced and made 2 feature length films Yours Emotionally! and Interview with a Politician (trailer) on Indian (South Asian) and Gay themes.

Our arts programmes offer platforms to artists to showcase their work, as well as offering opportunities for individuals to participate in classes and workshops.

These classes & workshops include: Exotic Moves, Kathak, Body Moves etc., We have in place appropriate methods of evaluation to measure the impact of our projects.

We would love to be commissioned for new projects. Wise Thoughts welcomes new commissions that focus on challenging issues in modern day society.

We offer expert advice and Consultancy on South Asian Arts, South Asian or Indian Dance, Classes and Workshops.
